If you are looking for an elegant but powerful laptop, the Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Yoga should be one of your options. It was released this summer and has become an instant hit due to the fact that it features OLED screen technology. OLED screens have been slowly appearing on various laptop models and it seems like they might become a standard in the next couple of years. Yes, they are more expensive than a standard screen, but you will be able to notice the difference right away.
Lenovo followed its standard design guidelines for the Yoga series and delivered an exceptional multipurpose laptop that is perfect for business people who want a 2-in-1 device that is strong and reliable.
Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Yoga Design and Specs
The laptop is made of carbon fiber and magnesium, which makes it very durable. However, it is still light and easily transportable. Its black matte color adds to the sophistication of this device and it will look elegant in both laptop and tablet modes. Plus, it is not a fingerprint magnet. The screen is 14 inches wide and will easily fit in any bag or backpack. It weighs only 2.8 pounds, which makes it lighter than its predecessors in the Yoga series.
When it comes to performance and hardware, the Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Yoga can compete with some of the most powerful business laptops on the market today. An Intel Core i7-7650U processor and 8GB(16GB) of RAM will make multitasking a breeze. From 128GB to 1 TB of SSD storage is more than enough for storing your files on this device and having quick access to them.

Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Yoga Pros and Cons
Besides the fact that the Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Yoga can be transformed into a tablet in just a couple of seconds and the look of the magnificent OLED display, we really loved the keyboard. It is very comfortable and perfect for typing. The travel between the keys is just right and you can type quickly and accurately. It is also backlit, which is perfect for working in low-light conditions.
Lenovo included a stylus as well, and while it is convenient for quick notes, writing with it for a longer period of time might not be so comfortable for some users because it is quite thin. On the other hand, the stylus is pressure sensitive, which is important to artists and designers, as this device can be used for drawing.
Unfortunately, the battery life is somewhere in the middle. It will last for four to eight hours, depending on the work you plan on doing. Make sure you pack your charger with you just in case. This won’t be a huge problem for the majority of users, but if you tend to do your work on the run, don’t forget to charge your battery beforehand.
Summary
The OLED display makes this laptop stand out from the competition and we absolutely love it. While it might be expensive, it really makes a huge difference. The starting list price is under $1,350, which is not common for this type of computer, but keep in mind that you will receive a multipurpose device that packs really powerful hardware and that has a display which will take your breath away with its quality and resolution.
